About Me
I created Tonewood with a vision of helping others to preserve their precious antique furniture.
As a former archaeologist and lifelong artist, I've come to value highly both historic preservation and a sensitivity to detail - both of which have informed my approach to antique restoration.
Qualities that I will bring to your project include:
-
High standard of quality
-
Open communication
-
Personal investment
-
Versatility
-
Punctuality
"Jake refinished two pieces of furniture to our complete satisfaction. He kept us up to date with the status of the projects and exceeded our expectations with the results. I would recommend him for any projects."

"Jake repaired an old pine chest for me that had parted company with it's lid during a move. He found old screws for the hinge repair and a pair of charming antique handles for the sides which had been lost many years ago. Most amazing of all was the repair he made of a hole drilled through two sides by an over zealous contractor several years ago. I cannot see the repair at all. It's a minor work of art and I love it. Jake is a charming individual and very nice to work with. He is very worthy of your consideration."
